Libraries
UND libraries serve as the center of learning.
They contain critical resources that make learning possible. Each library has skilled specialists who can help find resources on a specific topic.

Thormodsgard Law Library
The School of Law Library is the primary resource at UND to access legal information. We provide research, instruction, and reference services related to the law, primarily for School of Law students, faculty, and staff. We also serve the larger UND community, members of the bench and bar, and members of the general public.
For ethical reasons related to the legal profession, School of Law Librarians are unable to conduct legal research or interpret the results of that research on behalf of patrons. Instead, law librarians assist patrons in matters such as:
- Understanding how legal resources are organized
- Using legal research tools
- Accessing legal information
Energy & Environmental Research Center (EERC) Library
We provide highly specialized research assistance and library services for the EERC and the wider campus community.

Wilson M. Laird Core and Sample Library

The cores represent 80% of the cores cut in the North Dakota portion of the Williston Basin and about 95% of the samples collected. The facility also houses some water-well, coal, and subsurface mineral cores and samples. Core and cuttings samples are available for viewing/sampling at the core facility.
