2008 State of the University Address.

University of North Dakota President Robert Kelley delivered his first "State of the University" address at the University Council on Tuesday, Nov. 18, in the Memorial Union Ballroom. Kelley shared his vision for the future of the University and celebrated past-year accomplishments from individual schools and colleges on campus.

The University Council consists of the following who are employed primarily on the Grand Forks campus: the President, vice presidents, registrar, director of libraries, department chairs, full-time faculty (instructors, assistant professors, associate professors and professors), program directors, coordinators, assistant and associate deans who concurrently hold faculty rank, the director of the Counseling Center, professional librarians and such other academic personnel and administrative officers as the council may designate. Council meetings normally are co-chaired by the chair of the University Senate and the President of the University. The registrar is ex officio secretary. Council meetings are open to the public, students and University staff members.
