Sandra Short, PhD, Professor, Department of Physical Education, Exercise Science & Wellness, UND College of Education & Human Development
Dr. Short is currently a Professor in the Department of Physical Education, Exercise Science & Wellness (PXW) at the University of North Dakota.
She received her BSc from University of Calgary, her MS from the University of Western Ontario, and her PhD from Michigan State University.
Her academic interests include sport psychology, sport sociology, and research methods. Her research interests include efficacy and performance (self-efficacy, collective efficacy, and coaching efficacy) as well as mental imagery as applied to sport and exercise.
Her husband, Dr. Martin Short, also works in the PXW department. They have been at UND since 1999, and they are both tenured.
They have two wonderful children—Stoker and Brecken. Her boys keep her very busy, which is one of the reasons why she loves teaching online.
