Alan King, PhD, Professor and Director of Clinical Training in Psychology, Department of Psychology, UND College of Arts & Sciences
Dr. King is a tenured, full professor and director of clinical training in psychology at the University of North Dakota. He has been at UND since 1987, and has taught PSYC 360: Introduction to Personality since 1982.
He specializes in the areas of personality disturbance and adult psychopathology. His theoretical orientation tends toward biosocial learning, but he is also receptive to divergent theoretical perspectives.
Dr. King received his BA in General Psychology from Nicholls State University in 1977, his MS in Experimental Psychology from the University of Louisiana in 1979, and his PhD in Clinical Psychology from Louisiana State University in 1984.
