Documenting Teaching: Communication Expectations for Effective Teaching
UND's new policy lists five basic expectations of all faculty in regard to teaching:
- careful preparation
- command of the subject matter
- continuing professional growth
- effective communication
- respect for students
In most cases, departments will want to specify additional expectations. See the following example of how departments at other universities articulate their expectations.
