Why do you think students should study abroad?
Studying abroad opens up possibilities that you could never have imagined before. It helps you see the world and your own country's place in it in a whole new way. It makes you realize that many of the things we assume to be universal are not and that there are many different ways of living and looking at the world. Having a study abroad experience, especially to a place that is perceived as being very different, like China, often makes people see you in a very different light. Many of our students have gotten jobs that they attribute to their study abroad experiences. In a world that is rapidly becoming more global, international experience is an essential part of a well-rounded education.
