- The Alliance for Global Education offers the following programs in China:
Beijing, Xi’an, Shanghai - Language of Instruction: Chinese and English
Studying in China offers the opportunity to live in one of the world’s most fascinating and fast-changing countries in the world today. Each program location offers a specific area studies focus with a language intensive program at all levels–beginner to advance. No prior language background is required. Students complete a Capstone Academic Research Project, which challenges them to deepen their understanding of China. Most programs offer the option of living with a Chinese roommate and take part in a full schedule of excursions, activities, and lectures, all designed to enhance their understanding of China.

China Study Tour

This exciting faculty-directed study abroad program is open to all UND students regardless of major and offers an in-depth examination of China, a country of growing global importance. With special emphasis on the practical development of cross-cultural skills including those applicable to business, the program helps students gain an understanding of China's history, politics, legal system, customs, and culture. Professors Dr. Colleen Berry and Victoria Beard are the instructors for this program, in which students play an active role in designing their own fieldwork projects and itineraries. The trip is not a tour; students schedule their own time and get around on their own using public transportation. Guidance provided as needed.

India
Alliance for Global Education: India

The Alliance for Global Education offers the following programs in India:
Contemporary India: Development, Environment and Public Health (Pune)
Public Health and Indian Studies (Manipal)
The India program introduces students to some of the most dynamic areas of Indian society and is designed for students from a wide variety of majors and academic interests. The program combines a core academic base with specialization through electives and a required internship or directed research project. The Alliance arranges internship placements within Pune’s most forward-thinking and respected organizations.
Students may elect to room with other Alliance students or Indian students in an apartment adjoined to Indian student housing, to live semi-independently with an Indian family, or to undertake an embedded home stay within an Indian household.

Ajou University, established in 1973 with the goal of being “Asia’s best university for the 21st
century,” is a leading research university with 10 colleges in Korea. Located in Suwon, about 30km south of Seoul, Ajou has 14,000 students. Ajou’s academic and research strengths lie in Engineering, Technology, Medical Science, Business and International Studies. Ajou is widely recognized for its
innovative international programs and strong support for international students, having
collaborative partnerships with over 200 universities in 58 countries. There is a wide range of
international programs at Ajou including student and faculty exchanges, international summer school, and a Korean language program. International students may take courses offered in English in

Konkuk University

Konkuk University was established in 1950 with a focus on the virtues of sincerity, fidelity, and
righteousness. It is the fastest growing university in Korea, with two campuses and 26,000 students. The main campus in Seoul comprises of 15 colleges and 11 graduate schools offering a diverse range of subjects. Konkuk is well known as a leader in agricultural and life-science research, but excels in other areas of study as well with hundreds of courses offered in English. Konkuk partners with over 200 institutions in 46 countries worldwide. International programs at Konkuk are a high priority and enjoy a high level of support and services. International students have many opportunities at Konkuk with Korean Language study, semester exchanges, and the International Summer School.

Korea Aerospace University

UND’s partnership with Korea Aerospace University (KAU) is a unique study abroad opportunity for UND Aviation students. KAU has strong support from Korean Air and is the only university in Korea which specializes in cutting-edge aviation and aerospace technologies and management. KAU’s aviation programs were the first in Asia to be accredited by the Aviation Accreditation Board International (AABI). KAU’s summer program offers foreign students field training at Korean Air and Incheon International Airport. In addition, students will have cultural opportunities to travel to places of interest in Korea through day trips.
