China Summer Study Tour

This exciting faculty-directed study abroad program is open to all UND students regardless of major and offers an in-depth examination of China, a region of growing global importance. With special emphasis on the practical development of cross-cultural skills including those applicable to business, the program helps students gain an understanding of Chinese history, politics, legal system, customs and culture. Professors Colleen Berry and Victoria Beard are the instructors for this program in which students play an active role in designing their own fieldwork projects and itineraries. The trip is not a tour; students schedule their own time and get around on their own with using public transportation guidance provided as needed.

Brazil Field School

UND is partnering with Global Citizens Network (GCN) for the Brazil Field School to offer students the
opportunity to gain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Xukuru (Shookooroo) people in
northeastern Brazil. Students will live and work alongside the Xukuru throughout the two week experience, while assisting in community development/construction projects that support and respectfully preserve Xukuru indigenous culture and identity. The Brazil Field School works to increase student understanding of, and respect for, Xukuru culture and community life while cultivating and promoting the values of peace, justice, respect, and cross-cultural understanding within a global perspective.

London School of Economics

The internationally renowned Summer School offers short courses taught by leading LSE faculty. The program was established in 1989 and now has more than 3,000 participants. Courses range from traditional core economics and finance subjects to contemporary politics and management practices. Residents and visitors enjoy the combination of old and new architecture, elegant streetscapes, parks, gardens.

ICN Summer Program

The UND CoBPA-ICN program offers an exciting opportunity for students to study business in an international setting. Business and academic professionals from a number of countries converge in Metz to teach in the Summer program. The course begins with general education content ranging from French language, history, culture, the European Commission, and the political-economic facets of the region. The course continues with components in a European Marketing track; European Supply Chain track; and a European Management Track. Students tour business, industry, and governmental aspects of Brussels, Caen, Versailles, and/or Paris during the final week of the course.

Korea Aerospace University

The UND-Korea Aerospace University summer study abroad program offers students an opportunity to earn six credits of Aviation courses while studying in Korea. Students on this program have the opportunity to take advantage of Korean Aerospace University’s extensive connections to Korea’s major aviation industry through a four week internship with Korean Airlines or Seoul Incheon International Airport.

American College of Norway

The UND- American College of Norway program allows UND students to take UND classes taught by US faculty and local professors in Moss, Norway. The university is set on the Oslo Fjord, where you are surrounded by the natural beauty of the fjord and forest. Students are housed in apartments with other ACN students. Moss is located 40 miles south of Oslo and is famous for its historic mills, parks, museums, and manor houses. This program is open to freshman students with 12 earned credits.

University of Oslo International Summer School

The International Summer School is a six week summer program that offers intensive graduate and
undergraduate level courses. The program offers students intensive Norwegian language courses at all levels, as well as art, culture, and history courses. The International Summer School is an opportunity to connect to the world with approximately 1,200 participants from over 30 countries. The program also
offers weekend excursions, which encourage exploration and understanding of Norway beyond Oslo.

Avila, Spain Program

Co-sponsored by the UND Spanish Division and Eastern Michigan University, the Avila program offers students outstanding academics provided by the University of Salamanca. Program participants will improve their language skills and gain valuable cultural insight by living with either a host family, or in a student residence in Avila. Students in the Avila program will have a unique opportunity to travel, study, and live abroad in a beautiful and welcoming city.
