Annual Loan Limits
Please note: Federal Direct Loan limits include any amount borrowed under the Federal Stafford Loan program.
The amount borrowed cannot exceed the cost of attendance and/or the following annual loan limits (effective 7/1/08):

A student is eligible for a new loan maximum every academic year up to the following aggregate loan limits (effective 7/1/08):

An academic year at UND is defined as the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters.
Dependent students whose parents cannot borrow a Federal PLUS loan are eligible to borrow up to the independent undergraduate limits. Students must provide documentation of the PLUS loan denial to the Student Financial Aid Office.
