2017-18 Financial Aid Application is Now Available
The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) opened Oct. 1 this year, giving you and your student more time to complete it than in previous years. If your student is applying for financial aid for the 2017-18 academic year, he or she can go to fafsa.gov to fill out a FAFSA application now.
The FAFSA is the only application UND requires to determine student eligibility for financial aid. Your student will use 2015 income taxes to prepare the application. If your student has all of the paperwork handy, he or she will probably finish in less than 30 minutes. UND's school code is 003005.
Applying early is recommended, as funding is not guaranteed through the February 1 priority deadline.
About 79% of UND's undergrad students share $100 million in financial aid. On average, UND students annually receive $7,500 in financial assistance, including scholarships, grants, employment and loan programs.
