Live Together & Learn Together
The transition from high school to college can be a tough one for some students. Having a welcoming environment filled with students who share their interests is a great way to make that transition easier.
A Living & Learning Community (LLC) is a themed housing option that explores a certain topic or interest. Students in these communities get to live with the same students they have class with or that share their interests. They also get the opportunity to participate in activities with faculty and staff outside of the classroom, like these students in the Engineering Living & Learning Community who built miniature rockets.
UND currently offers six Living & Learning Communities:
LLCs help create a sense of belonging for students, as well as stronger connections between classrooms and everyday life. To enroll in any of the Living & Learning Communities, students need to complete a Housing Application and indicate their preferred LLC.
