The Museum of Art received $150,000 over three years to support the commissioning of artists Rena Effendi, Bill Harbort, John Hitchcock, Terry Jelsing, Mary Lucier, and Tim Schouten to create work exploring life on North Dakota’s mixed race, multi-cultural Spirit Lake Nation of the Dakota people. Both the men's and women's hockey teams will be in attendance and will take part in autograph sessions, a skills station (for 8th-graders and younger) and question-and-answer sessions on the media stage.
A free lunch will be provided to fans courtesy of Midco Sports Network, and fans can expect other great giveaways from the Midco Sports Net team. One lucky fan will also be selected to win a 32-inch, high definition television.

Join us for this walk/run celebrating a life and a cause
Nicolette A. Wolf Leader, a junior in the nursing program was killed in a car accident Dec. 27, 2011, near Brookings, S.D. She was texting while driving. This event is intended to remind all to STOP texting while driving. Proceeds for the event will be donated to Nicolette's children for a college scholarship fund. Cost is $15 which includes a T-Shirt.
