Born in Valley City in 1972, Todd Hebert spent his early years in McHenry, North Dakota. His father, a high school teacher, moved the family to Dickinson in 1980 to accept the job at Dickinson High School coaching basketball and teaching social studies. Todd played football, basketball, and baseball. He also drew and painted and took art classes from Michael Dunn, a wildlife watercolorist. The doctoral examination for George E. Nolan, a candidate for the Ed.D. degree with a major in Educational Leadership, is set for 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, in 300 Education Building. The dissertation title is "Narrowing the Achievement Gap: A Case Study of How St. Cloud School District 742 Improved Academic Growth for Black Students in Three Years." Gary Schnellert (Educational Leadership) is the committee chair. The public is invited to attend.

GFPL Toddler Story Time

Toddler story time is presented every Thursday morning at 10 am in the Story Room of the Grand Forks Public Library. It includes short picture picture book stories, finger plays, puppet shows, and songs for children up to age three. It lasts about 20 minutes. Babies are welcome.
