The Grand Forks Public Library has formed a partnership with the Dakota Science Center (DSC) and the University of North Dakota (UND) School of Engineering and Mines in order to provide Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) activities to library patrons. In order for all of the children to have a hands-on experience with the kits, STEM Kids will be limited to 8 children per session. The first three weeks of programming will be for children in grades K-2, and the final four weeks of programming will be for grades 3-6. Because of the limited space, we are requiring parents to fill out a short application form for each child. Not all children who fill out an application will be able to attend STEM Kids this summer, however, all of the STEM kits can be used again and we plan on hosting an after school STEM Kids in the fall.
