Come into the UND Bookstore this summer for children's story hour every Monday and Saturday at 10 a.m. Join us for "A Summer of Characters."  Each week, we will be featuring our most cherished children's literary characters, such as, The Berenstain Bears, Dr. Seuss, Splat the Cat, Skippyjon Jones, Olivia, Frances and Harold with his purple crayon. Each story hour will be followed with a small coloring craft project for the kids to enjoy.

Children's story hour is free to all.

August 11 - Alexander & Strega Nona

• Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Vorst and Ray Cruz-- Alexander knew it was going to be a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. The day had barely began and he already had gum in his hair, tripped over his skateboard and dropped his sweater in the sink.

• Strega Nona by Tommie DiPalo--Strega Nona is the grandma witch with a magical pasta pot. One day, while Nona is away visiting a friend, hungry Big Anthony recites a magical verse over Nona's pasta pot, resulting in disaster.
