Enjoy an evening of mindfulness meditation, teachings, and discussion about how to find freedom in the face of the "Eight Worldly Winds." We will investigate how these eight winds of pleasure/pain, gain/loss, praise/blame, fame/disrepute manifest in our minds and our lives; and what it means to have a heart open in the midst of all things. Teachings and practices will focus on developing the qualities of embodied groundedness, spaciousness, mindfulness, equanimity, and compassion.
This talk is the start of a non-residential weekend retreat. If interested in attending the full retreat you can pre-register by email or register that evening if space is available.
