The Foundations of Biomedical Science seminar speaker this week is H. Wayne Lambert, who will present "An Educator's Journey into Translational Medicine" at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, room 5510.

Lambert is professor of Neurobiology and Anatomy at West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, W.Va. His talk discusses the notion of exploring and establishing closer ties with the clinical community as we go about teaching with cadavers — i.e., shouldn't we try to do more with these precious gifts than merely teach — can't these gifts be used to address the important clinical questions of our time? How he has been able to start this process with his teaching and with his students is the focus of his talk. All are welcome to attend.
