UND undergraduates are needed Thursday, Jan. 17, to judge the Science and Engineering Fair, Schroeder Middle School, 800 32nd Ave. South, Grand Forks. Everything needed will be provided. The time slots are: 9:30 to 11 a.m. and/or 12:30 to 2 p.m. Buses will be available to transport judges between Memorial Union and the middle school.

Top finishers will advance to the Northeast Regional Science and Engineering Fair on March 13. This is a requirement for seventh graders at Schroeder, initiated by science teacher Lorraine O’Shea. UND undergraduates will make up most of the judges, but everyone is welcome. Please encourage your students to volunteer. This is an important vehicle for promoting STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education in Grand Forks.
