Facebook Security & Privacy – Best Practices
Tuesday, December 10, 2013 1 PM - 3 PM
Facebook has more than 800 million active users, and those users upload 250 million photos and install 20 million applications per day. Sharing information and interacting socially with friends, family, and co-workers on Facebook does have its benefits, but it can also introduce significant risks to your personal information and identity. Some of these risks include information being shared with people unintentionally, personal information being targeted by identity fraudsters and eavesdroppers, malicious applications compromising your personal information, and attacks that display unintended content on your Facebook page. This course will review the best practices for managing your Facebook privacy and security settings, interacting with the Facebook website, and avoiding scams, eavesdroppers, and malicious applications and attacks.
Presenter: Brad Miller
