What is the Clothesline Project? The original project was started in Massachusetts in 1990 as a vehicle to bring awareness of the effects of interpersonal violence. It is a visual display of t-shirts that have been decorated and color coded to represent the many forms of violence. The North Dakota Clothesline Project was established in 1995 and the Women’s Center and the Community Violence Intervention Center have been bringing it to the campus since that first year. The shirts on display represent some of the stories told by survivors of the violence or family members or friends of victims of violence who are living in North Dakota as a testimony to the problem of interpersonal violence. Victims are those who have died at the hands of the abuser.
Parking InformationUnless special parking arrangements have been stated above, off-campus guests for this event may use the pay-as-you-go option in the Parking Ramp (corner of 2nd Ave N and Columbia Road), the Visitor Lot (off Centennial Drive), or a Parking Meter.
