We who live in the woodlands; the moraine ridges, washes and sloughs of the Northern Plains; or along the Central Flyway—that migration route from the Arctic to South America—live among birds. Collected in this exhibition are dozens of ways of looking at birds through the eyes of artists.

Artists include Canadian electronic-installation artist Erika Lincoln; photographer Barbara Bosworth who captures the stillness of birds and their human perches; Terry Evans with her botanical specimen shots; Matt Anderson, the maker of gigantic drawings of birds consuming cities; Rebecca Norris Webb who photographed birds in Cuba; Barton Lidice Benes with his Bird Museum; environmentalist and photographer Rosalie Winard with her photographs of wetland birds; Kenojuak, the famous Innuit printmaker whose name will forever be coupled with the owl; Walton Ford with his etchings of allegories and metaphors and symbolic language; painter David Kruger, the master of bird-eats-man scenarios; and video artists Guido von der Werve, Cecelia Condit, Ann Walsh, and Rob Yeo.

The exhibition will be available during Museum hours through February 5, 2012.  The Museum is open Monday - Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 1 pm to 5 pm.
