Dr. Slavka Antonova - Associate Professor, Communication
“Global Internet governance and ‘capacity building’: The long-term effects of multistakeholder collaboration” - At the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS, 2005), capacity building was identified as one of the key public policy issues. Dr. Antonova has developed a model of tangible and intangible outcomes of the collaborative process and has applied it to the UN-sponsored Internet Governance Forum (IGF) in order to generate insights of the long-term effects of multistakeholderism in global Internet governance.
Alyssa Chandler, Graduate, Master's Candidate, Communication
“It's in Minnesota's Nature: A Case Study of Relationships between Place Brands and Internal Consumers” - on the place branding initiative launched in Grand Rapids, MN in 2009, focusing on the design and process of the initiative and how the process has shaped the relationships formed with internal consumers. I will highlight my interview findings and discuss my future plans to distribute the information to the Grand Rapids community.
