A commitment to choosing civility and striving daily to practice what she preaches has made Lew Bayer an internationally recognized leader in her industry. For the past 14 years, Lew has lead the team at Civility Experts Worldwide-now 33 affiliates strong with representation in 12 countries- and earned the title of Canada's leading expert on civility in the workplace. In May 2010, Lew was the first Canadian to be awarded the prestigious AICI International Civility Star Award.
Brent has served as Sundog's CEO since the company's inception in 1995. In this role, Brent works with senior leadership to set the company's strategic direction, oversees the company's financial and business operations, and leads the effort to sustain an innovative and values-based company culture. Prior to founding Sundog, he was employed at Great Plains Software (now Microsoft). Brent earned his B.A. degree from Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota, and MBA from the University of St. Thomas School of Business, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Under Brent's leadership, Sundog has been nationally recognized as a Best Place to Work by Advertising Age in 2011 and 2012. Sundog ranked on the list of Inc. 5000 for fastest-growing companies in 2012. Additionally, in 2012 Brent received the Marcus Buckingham's LeadersLeading Leaders Award, recognizing 25 of the most innovative leaders across the US.
He resides in Moorhead, MN with his family and enjoys spending time at the lake, reading and sports of all kinds.
Adele Hedley Page, an attorney with Legal Services of North Dakota, has presented numerous times on human resources and employment issues. She joined LSND in October 2012, rounding out both the diversity of her career and her experience working with people from a wide range of cultures, economic backgrounds, and geographic locations. Prior to joining LSND, Adele was Senior Vice President and Chief Employment Counsel of Ygomi LLC, a global technology company. In that role, Adele was, among other things, responsible for creating respectful cross-cultural workplaces spanning China, the UK, Brazil, Hungary, France, Japan, the US, and Germany. Prior to this experience, Adele counseled employers and litigated employment cases in the area of labor and employment law both as a partner with Dorsey & Whitney LLP and as the principal of Page Law Firm LLC. Adele began her career as an RN and public health nurse working with indigent health-care clients outside Washington, DC.
Adele holds a BS in Nursing from the State University of New York at Buffalo, a Juris Doctor Magna Cum Laude from Georgetown University Law Center, and is a member of both the North Dakota and Minnesota bars.
Malika Carter, CEO, is the spirited founder of Passion4Pivot. Her passion is to build capacity to recognize and respond to institutional bias, minimize litigation, increase productivity, and ensure that institutions are equitable to all individuals (particularly historically-underrepresented individuals).
