Flashdance

Flashdance The Musical

The pop culture phenomenon of FLASHDANCE is now live on stage. With electrifying dance at its core, FLASHDANCE-THE MUSICAL tells the inspiring and unforgettable story of Alex Owens, a Pittsburgh steel mill welder by day and a club dancer by night with dreams of one day becoming a professional performer. When romance with her steel mill boss threatens to complicate her ambitions, Alex learns the meaning of love and its power to fuel the pursuit of her dream.


FLASHDANCE-THE MUSICAL features a score that includes the biggest hit songs from the movie, including the Academy Award-winning title song "Flashdance - What a Feeling," "Maniac," "Gloria," "Manhunt," and "I Love Rock & Roll."


The Atlanta Journal Constitution hailed it “an astonishing musical spectacle,” while Michigan Live dubbed FLASHDANCE “A super-sexy blockbuster!”

The University of North Dakota Wind Ensemble, conducted by Professor of Music and Director of Bands Dr. James Popejoy, consists of the most outstanding wind and percussion students on campus.  Performing the finest wind literature available, the ensemble has established a reputation for musical excellence through state, regional, national and international appearances.

Charlotte's Web

Theatreworks' production of Charlotte's Web is based on E.B. White's loving story of the friendship between a pig named Wilbur and a little gray spider named Charlotte. Wilbur has a problem: how to avoid winding up as pork chops! Charlotte, a fine writer and true friend, hits on a plan to fool Farmer Zuckerman -- she will create a "miracle." Spinning the words "Some Pig" in her web, Charlotte weaves a solution which not only makes Wilbur a prize pig, but ensures his place on the farm forever. This treasured tale, featuring mad-cap and endearing farm animals, explores bravery, selfless love, and the true meaning of friendship.

Approximately one-hour in length, recommended for grades K - 5

Grand Forks Master Chorale Mozart's Requiem Mass in D Minor

Grand Forks Master Chorale and UND Music present Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Requiem Mass in D Minor.  Composed in Vienna in 1791, during the last year of his life, the Requiem was Mozart's last composition and is one of his most popular and respected works.  It will feature instrumentalists from the UND department of music and the surrounding community, choristers from the Grand Forks Master Chorale, the Grand Forks Community Choir, and UND's Concert Choir, Allegro adn Varsity Bards, and will be conducted by Dr. Joshua Bronfman.
