Accessible Parking and Transportation
Parking in an accessible parking space on the UND campus requires a valid UND student parking permit AND a state issued ADA hangtag or license plate. Place the UND parking permit in front of the ADA permit so it can be easily seen.
Accessible parking spaces are marked with proper signage and situated near the building's accessible entrance, as well as in parking lots. Maps are available at Parking Services (204 Twamley Hall) or online.
UND provides accessible fixed route shuttle bus service and a lift-equipped van on campus for students who cannot access the fixed route service. Eligibility for the lift-equipped service depends on the degree of mobility impairment. See DSS or Student Health Services for a referral.
Both services begin on the first day of fall and spring semesters and run weekdays through Finals' week, with the exception of Reading and Review Day. No service is provided on weekends, holidays, semester breaks or during summer session. Hours and routes for the shuttle bus are available at the Information Desk in the Memorial Union
The City of Grand Forks provides a paratransit service called Dial-A-Ride and an accessible fixed route bus system in Grand Forks and East Grand Forks, MN. Complete an application or contact the Grand Forks City Bus Office at 701.746.8108.
