Hazwoper 24-Hour Initial
The 24-hour operations level training consists of three days of lectures, discussions, classroom demonstrations, small group exercises and hands-on training. The operations level course is designed to provide you with the training required by OSHA to respond to hazardous substance releases with the purpose of protecting persons, property and the environment from the effects of the release. The main function of the operations level responder is to contain the release from a safe distance, keep the contamination from spreading and prevent exposures. Emphasis is placed on responding in a defensive manner without actually trying to stop the release.
