Welcome to the University of North Dakota! The following information may be helpful to you in obtaining the necessary permits and other items to successfully transition to your new position.

A key element that must be in place prior to obtaining many of the following items is the EMPLID (Employee ID). An EMPLID is generated once your hire information has been entered into the UND payroll system. Your supervisor will inform you of your EMPLID # as soon as it has been assigned. If you have been a student or employee of any North Dakota University System institution since 2004, your past EMPLID will be valid, and a new number will not need to be issued.
