Recognition Ceremonies
The Office of Human Resources administers the Staff Recognition Luncheon on the Tuesday following Spring graduation. UND staff members are recognized for the major milestones of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, and 45 years of service. Staff members recognized for 20 through 45 years of service are presented with U Cash on their ID Card (U Card) debit account in the amounts of $50 for 20 years, $100 for 25, 30, and 35 years and $200 for 40 and 45 years. Staff members are able to use their award funds at the UND Bookstore, Ticketmaster (at the Chester Fritz Auditorium), Memorial Union Services & Lifetime Sports (movie tickets, equipment rental, copies, etc), Ray Richards Golf Course Season Pass, Student Health Pharmacy, and all Dining Services outlets.
The Meritorious Service Awards are given in recognition of individuals who best reflect honor upon the University and community through a combination of job performance, relationship with associates, and the ability to relate their work to the missions and values of the University. A total of ten $1,000 Meritorious Service awards are given to employees in each of five major groups. These groups and the number of awards presented are: Executive, Administrative, and Professional (3); Technical/Paraprofessional (1); Office Support (3); Crafts/Trades (1); and Services employees (2).
The Ken & Toby Baker UND Proud Award , along with $1,000, is presented to a UND staff employee who, through extraordinary public service, has made lasting contributions to the external community, over and above the expectations of his or her regular University position.

Recognition for 25 years of service and for staff members retiring with a minimum of 15 years of service are also presented at the Annual Founder's Day Banquet held the third Thursday of February.
