Meet Our Office Staff

Patricia Hanson - Director

As the Director, Pat is responsible for the overall administration of staff employment at the University.

 

Joy Johnson - Senior Human Resource Manager

Responsible for recruiting and screening applications for professional positions, provides training, position reviews, market review, and advises supervisors and employees.

 

Rick Sandwick - Human Resources Officer

Responsible for recruiting and screening applications for office, technical, craft and trade, and service positions, provides training, position reviews, advises supervisors and employees, and oversees special events.

 

Cheryl Widman - Lead HR Coordinator

Cheryl is responsible for the operations of the office. She works very closely with all departments making sure the required forms and appropriate processes and procedures are used.

Karen Burgard - IT Support/HR Specialist

Karen's duties include updating and processing all aspects of personnel information, as well as, serving as the IT support for the majority of the administration building. Karen also reviews documents for appropriate signatures and assists with payroll processing.

 

Heidi Gerszewski - HR Specialist

Heidi provides support and back-up for the Front Desk Specialist. She also is responsible for employment reports, advertisement, documentation and records for the Office. Heidi reviews documents for appropriate signatures and assists with payroll processing.

 

Rowann Larson - Front Desk Specialist

Rowann is usually the first person you will come in contact with when calling or visiting the Office of Human Resources. She can help you with what you need to do to apply for a staff position at UND.
