TuitionPay Payment Plan
TuitionPay by Sallie Mae
UND offers a payment plan to students through our partner Sallie Mae - and their TuitionPay service.
TuitionPay is an interest-free plan that allows students to break down the large lump-sum payments due at the beginning of each semester into monthly installments.
Students can enroll in semester-based plans at the beginning of each semester to cover their Tuition/Fees, Room/Board, books, and parking permit charges. Payments can be spread over 3, 4, or 5 monthly installments. There is an enrollment fee per plan payable to Sallie Mae.
Students should only budget for the allowable costs exceeding their financial aid award. The payment plan may not be used to cover other charges such as aviation charges, student health, rent, etc.
Payment plans will not apply towards
International Health Insurance charges. Those charges need to be paid in full directly to UND in order to obtain immediate coverage and avoid cancellation of enrollment.
To enroll in the Sallie Mae TuitionPay plan or to request additional information, please call TuitionPay directly at 1-800-635-0120 or visit http://tuitionpay.salliemae.com.
Enrollment Dates:
Spring 2012 Plan: November 1 - February 29
Fall 2012 Plan: June 1 - September 28
There is no payment plan available for the summer session.
TuitionPay Plans must be set up before the last day to pay current semester charges without a late fee. For the Fall 2012 semester, the due date is September 28.
Students who enroll in a plan will see a credit for the full amount of the semester plan posted to their Campus Connection accounts at the end of the month in which they enrolled called “TuitionPay Payment Plan.” This credit will post against the outstanding Tuition, Housing, Books, and Parking charges. Any remaining charges will need to either be covered by anticipated financial aid for the current term or be paid in full prior to the due date in order to avoid a late fee.
Once the TuitionPay contract has been set up through Sallie Mae, any reductions or cancellations of the plan must be made through UND Student Account Services. Please contact Chelsea Larson at 701-777-3084 or Mary Anderson at 701-777-2290.
Increases to an existing plan must be handled through the TuitionPay website.
Please note: TuitionPay will terminate payment plans that become delinquent. If your plan is terminated, UND will adjust the credit on your Campus Connection account to reflect any amount that was actually paid to TuitionPay. At that time, the student’s account may be subject to UND’s late fee per our regular late fee calculation and schedule. Please see the Student Account Services “Late Payment Fee” page for additional information.
The payment plan is a service extended to our students to help ease the financial burden of paying for tuition. However, students who misuse the plan and regularly default on payments will be prevented from setting up future plans.
