Accessing Services
To access the services of the Center, you may call (701) 777-2127 or stop by room 200 of the McCannel Hall building to make an appointment. Prior to your first appointment, you will be asked to complete some brief paperwork. During the appointment, a professional counselor will work with you to help you clarify your concerns and explore if ongoing counseling or other services are needed. Psychiatric referrals to the Student Health are also available to discuss issues related to medication.
The office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Hours during holiday breaks may vary. Please call for further details.
In the case of an emergency, an on-call counselor is available anytime on Monday-Friday between 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. For crisis situations after 4:30 p.m. and on weekends, please call 701-777-2127 and press "1" to be connected to the crisis line.
In addition to the 200 McCannel Hall location, the UCC maintains two additional offices on campus that provide individual counseling. One of the offices is located in the Apartment Community Center (see picture above), located at 525 Stanford Road, serves members of the UND apartment community. This office is open each Monday between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 pm (walk-ins welcome). The other office is located at the Wilkerson Hall (See picture below) in Room 31 and is open on Wednesday (1:00 p.m. and 6:00 pm) and Thursday (2:00 p.m. and 7:00 pm) with walk-ins times as well.
