Parents and Families
Currently, UND Financial Wellness Services is just for UND students. But that doesn't mean we don't have information for their parents and families! Here are a few questions and answers that might help you out.
How will UND Financial Wellness Services help my student?
We provide the opportunity to get individualized help relating to finances. Primarily, we have trained peers who can help your student create a spending plan to most efficiently use their money and their student loans. We give information related to how interest affects them and how long it will take to repay their loans.
Similarly, we can help them to understand their credit and identify ways to safely build credit during their college years. We can do this by looking at their credit report and teaching the basic ways that their score is determined.
By providing concrete financial tools and resources to the UND community, students are freer to focus their minds on academics instead of finances. By having a plan in hand, it is possible to balance work, school, and social life and create a learning environment that sets a student up for success – both in academics and finances.
Where can I find information about student loans?
Student loan information is handled through Student Financial Aid. Their website provides general information about student loans including various options and how to apply for them.
We also have some basic information related to paying for college on our website.
Where can I find information about tuition, fees, and billing?
Student Account Services is the place to look for information related to tuition, fees, and billing. They can help you understand billing, payment options, 1098T/tax information, tuition, UND Pride Card, and even have some FAQs. Click on any of the green hyperlinks for more information.
What other resources are available to Parents and Families?
The UND family association has some helpful resources available and can help connect you to where you need to be.
