Online Alcohol Education For Orientation 2013
I want to extend to you my personal congratulations and welcome you to the University of North Dakota campus community. I sincerely hope that your path to graduation will be a successful one, filled with the excitement of new learning and opportunities.
As you transition to campus life here at UND, you will have many choices about the kind of life you want to live. The choice about whether to use alcohol and/or drugs is an important one that every student is faced with. The consequences of these decisions will directly impact your success at UND.
Here at UND we also feel it is important to educate students on alcohol and other drugs; as a part of our comprehensive prevention program we require all first year students to complete our Online Alcohol Education program prior to arriving to campus. Students who do not complete the Online Alcohol Education by September 19th, 2013 will have an academic hold placed on their account.
This personalized tool will provide you with vital information regarding the affects alcohol has on the body as well as on lives as a whole. While you may choose not to consume alcohol, the information presented in this learning tool will aid you in your interactions with others who do choose to use. We ask you to sit down with your parents and watch this short video together. The video provides instructions on how to complete the online module:
Should you have any questions, specifically pertaining to this requirement or about alcohol and other drug use, I ask that you please contact UND Health & Wellness Hub at firstname.lastname@example.org or 701-777-2097.
