Making decisions about alcohol and other drugs is something we are all faced with at some point in our lives. For many, these choices first happen once we get to college.
Sometimes a physician is who we trust most. Don't be afraid to set up an appointment at Student Health Services to talk about alcohol and other drug use. They are happy to help and are trained specifically in the health needs of college students. >Schedule an appointment
Substance use services generally begin with an intake assessment to determine the degree of presenting concerns and appropriate plans for addressing concerns. Upon hearing your concerns, we'll help you establish goals and makes changes to reduce the likelihood of further problems or concerns. >Call 701.777.2127 to make an appointment
A network of campus colleagues, the UND Cares Response Team is available to assist with incidents involving UND students 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We respond to incidents such as major accidents, missing students, sickness that interferes with attending classes, death, suicidal ideations, situations involving self-harm, psychological trauma and sexual violence. >Call 701.777.2644 during office hours or 701.777.3491 during holidays/weekends/evenings.
The CCC was borne out of concerns raised from individuals in the Grand Forks community, on the UND campus, and at the recommendation of the city's Service Safety Committee. The committee works to change the culture of drinking alcohol to one that is responsible and low risk. The committee meets about once a month.
