5 Day Fitness Challenge
Rules
Register for the challenge at the Fitness Desk on the weight room floor. Complete the challenge each day as described below. Report your scores to the Fitness Desk staff or staff will assist in scoring.
If our prescribed challenge (Rx) cannot be performed by a participant, a modified version is allowed. An individual who is modifies one event or exercise is considered in the "modified division" for the entire competition.
Prizes!
A Timex Watch will be awarded to the top competitor for the following categories over the 5 day challenge
- Top Male Rx Division
- Top Female Rx Division
- Top Male Modified Division
- Top Female Modified Division
Day 1: Cooper Test
Run as far as possible in 12 minutes. The Wellness Center track is 8.5 laps to a mile (using outside run - lane)
Modified: Alternating Run/Walk or just Walk
Day 2: The "Ups"
You have 60 seconds to complete each "UP" category & all categories must be complete within 5 minutes
Push ups + Pull ups + Sit Ups + Jump Squat - (participants weakest category) = Score
Modified:
Push Ups - Knees on the ground
Pull Ups - Using assisted pull up machine
Sit-Ups - Crunches
Jump Squats -
Day 3: Let's Rock!
Transverse (moving sideways) the Rock Wall for as long as possible! Score is distance traveled.
Day 4: Row, Row, Row!
Rowing for 10 minutes to see how far you can row. Score is distance Traveled
Modified:
Rowing for 5 minutes only
Day 5: 40/40 Challenge
Using the TRX training system - attempt 40 Atomic Push-ups and 40 Low Rows. To see a video of the challenge check out this video.
Record how many of each exercise you are able to complete and this is your ratio.
