EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) files are vector artwork and best used when working with high quality print publications. The files can be scaled to any size without altering quality and have transparent backgrounds.

PNG (Portable Network Graphic) files are able to have a transparent background and are suitable for Microsoft Office programs (including Microsoft Word) and low resolution or Web-based applications.
