As an essential component of the UND identity, the University of North Dakota maintains a system for standardizing signage throughout its campus.
Campus signage includes all signs and symbols that provide information, direction, or identify buildings, sites, and functions on the UND campus for students, visitors and members of the UND community.
The goals of the signage standards are:
- To provide a design framework that establishes consistent aesthetics and quality from building to building.
- To provide a system to request Facilities Management to make, update or place signage, and/or seek approval for signage to be constructed elsewhere.
Facilities Management and the Office of Marketing & Creative Services will monitor and update these standards to reflect new developments in manufacturing techniques, building codes and design trends.
The full policy and request forms are in the approval process.
