"We're very excited to add this new offering to our program," said Becky Rude, coordinator for the UND Nutrition & Foodservice Professional Training Program.
"We hope these course objectives, terminology and lesson discussions will assist Spanish-language learners in preparing to become Certified Dietary Managers, Certified Food Protection Professionals (CDM, CFPP)."
Rude encourages students to seek an on-site preceptor to guide students through the course, and UND will assist in providing a preceptor for a fee. The 12-month course costs $525 and can be taken online or correspondence by mail.
The Association of Nutrition & Foodservice Professionals certification exams are in English, and quizzes and course assignments for the UND course must still be completed in English.
