An Exceptional UND will be a nationally and internationally recognized state university in which a community of dedicated teacher-scholars promote the public well-being and educate the next generations of students to be leaders in shaping a better future.
President Kelley initiated a series of campus-wide conversations in 2010 to identify strategic priorities that would elevate us to an Exceptional UND. The president’s invitation to join in these conversations generated tremendous enthusiasm. About 600 participants representing the entire campus shared their ideas on how UND can enhance the student experience, strengthen connections, and heighten the sense of community.
Experienced higher education consultants guided the conversations and assisted in distilling the results. The consultants’ final report was delivered to President Kelley in fall 2010.
To engage members of campus and the community, a number of conversations have been held to talk about the future of The University of North Dakota. These conversations were open to the public and broadcast live online. Videos of each conversation are listed below.
