School of Engineering & Mines Living Learning Community
In AY 2011-2012, the School of Engineering & Mines (SEM), in conjunction with Residence Services, is piloting a Living Learning Community (LLC) focusing on academic achievement for first-year students in a setting designed to combine the scholarly and social aspects of student life. The SEM LLC dedicates one floor of a residence hall to first-year students who will have access to early advising and class selection, tutoring services and study groups, a monthly dinner with the Dean and/or Chairs of SEM departments, and group activities, including service learning, lab tours, an international night, and Engineering Alumni and Club nights.
Status and progress: Students enrolled and program underway.
