Review of Academic Programs: Undergraduate and Graduate
North Dakota State Board of Higher Education Policy 403.1.2 requires each institution to review undergraduate instructional programs and graduate programs. New programs are required to be evaluated within one year after the first cohort graduates. The Higher Learning Commission also maintains the expectation of regular program reviews as part of the criteria for institutions it accredits.
Academic program reviews demonstrate our commitment to the quality and continuous improvement of our educational programs and how we promote student learning and success. Program evaluation can help guide effective planning and resource allocation and provide insight into how our curriculum, scholarly activity, and service advance our mission and serve the state, nation, and global communities.
The program review process has been modified to optimize the cycle of alignment of undergraduate and graduate program reviews with one another.
