Conflict Resolution Civility in Public Conversation Symposium - May 21 - 25, 2012
We are hitting the campaign trail and one of the hottest topics of our time! Lets talk about why we can't talk without inciting riots and taking hard-line and extreme positions; and why Washington has gone from a place where our representatives could have lunch AND still fight hard for what they believe to be right, to large empty spaces where you can't cross invisible party lines. What do the various schools of thought have to offer? What causes incivility, how does it benefit or harm us as a society and a democracy, and where are we headed?

Conflict Resolution Organization Conflict Management Seminar - June 20 - 21, 2012
From a mediation standpoint, most of workplace conflict comes in the form of communication break-downs: from a lack of old-fashioned listening. Can you name at least one person in your life who really listens to you, as if what you are saying is important to them, as if they are hanging on your every word? Are you that person for someone else? Research indicates that most of us will answer "no" to both questions. Why is that, and what is lost if that kind of listening so rarely happens?
Day 1 Self-management/ face-to-face conflict interaction & skill building
Day 2 Managing group conflict as a mediator and understanding group dynamics in conflict
