The Institutional Review Board is responsible for ensuring that the rights and welfare of human subjects in social behavioral and biomedical research are protected. The University of North Dakota requires that all research projects involving humans as subjects, or which use human material, be reviewed and approved by the IRB prior to initiation of any research using human participants, including recruitment and screening activities.
