2013 Orientation Schedule
2-Day Program Between June 10 - July 18
The date of your 2-day Orientation session is based on your academic major. With the Orientation Focus Days, you will be able to:
- learn more about your degree program.
- meet with faculty and advisors from your major.
- connect with new UND students who have similar academic interests.
You must attend an Orientation session based on the major you plan to pursue at UND.
Undecided about your major?
If you haven't decided on a major, don't worry—we have Orientation sessions designed for undeclared majors, too. Please note that if you are interested in pursuing a major, but have not officially declared it on your admissions application, you are encouraged to attend Orientation on the academic Focus Days that most closely match your academic interests.

Make sure that you see the major you are interested in pursuing in the list for that college or school so you make a reservation to attend the appropriate Focus Days.

If you have not decided on a major, please attend Orientation on June 17 & 18 or July 8 & 9. An advisor will help you to select a course schedule and provide you with services that can help you choose a career path.

Orientation is intended for new students entering UND for Fall 2013 and their parents or guests. There is a 2-guest limit per student.
Please note that we do not have programming for young children.

Day 1 will conclude around 6:15 p.m. Please plan to stay for the entire day.
Day 2 Schedule
Day 2 will begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 4:45 p.m. Throughout the day:
- students will register for classes,
- parents will attend Parent Orientation, and
- students and parents will be together for important presentations about campus offices, resources, and more.
Please plan to stay for the entire day.
Parent Orientation
Parents are an integral part of the college experience, and we invite you to attend Orientation with your student. Each student may bring up to 2 parents or guests to Orientation. (Please note that we do not have programming for young children.)
Parent Orientation will include information about:
- the parent/family experience at UND
- how UND works with parents to support their students
- campus events including Welcome Weekend and Family Weekend
- UND's Parent Association
You'll also hear from a panel of current students and professional staff members who will help answer any questions that you may have.
We encourage you to attend Orientation as we look forward to working with you during your student's transition to college!
Parent Orientation Schedule
On Day 1 of Orientation, parents/guests and students will be together throughout the day.
On Day 2, parents/guests and students will be together for half of the day. For the other half of the day, students will meet with academic advisors and register for classes while parents/guests attend Parent Orientation.
