SWAG
The Student Working Advisory Group of Student Government is a group that provides an opportunity for all UND students to actively participate in Student Government initiatives. We believe that the opportunity for Student Government involvement should be extended beyond students holding official positions within Student Government.
SWAG is a chance for any and all students, whether they are involved in other areas of campus or not, to be involved with Student Government programs, voice their opinions about how our fees are spent, take part in grass roots efforts to make real change on campus and much more. SWAG is an open forum for discussion and students are encouraged to bring any issues forth that they would like to see addressed on campus.
SWAG consists of three focus groups and a general assembly. The three focus groups are Student Affairs, External Affairs, and Academic Affairs and will discuss a number of issues relevant to each area. Discussions have included diversity issues on campus, online courses, Student Government funded programs, UND's email system, community outreach, state government issues, etc.
The Student Working Advisory Group of Student Government meets on the first and third Tuesday of every month from 7-9pm. The focus groups meet for the first half of the time and then come together for the larger assembly.
All students are invited and encouraged to attend. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us or stop by the Student Government office.
