Our Services
Resume and Cover Letter Writing, Job Search, Practice Interviewing
Career Services offers, by appointment, resume and cover letter critiques and assistance with job searches and interviewing skills. Resume samples are available in the Career Services Resource Room. Staff members also conduct a variety of presentations each semester for student groups, classes, clubs and organizations.
Career Connect
Our online service allows an individual to:
- View and apply for job openings.
- Upload a resume, transcripts and other documents.
- Sign up for on-campus interviewing.
- View Cooperative Education/Internship information.
Once registered, currently enrolled students will remain active online up to one semester after graduation. To register, please click here.
Career Fairs
Each spring and fall Career Services hosts a career fair where employers from across the United States participate.
Professional Dress and Etiquette Luncheon
Each spring, Career Services hosts this event to provide students with the opportunity to acquire skills in proper dining etiquette and guidance on how to dress appropriately for success.
Career Walk-In Center
The Walk-In Center offers Career Lift-off, a computerized interest inventory test, as well as other material to assist in your career decision. Students may also choose to meet with a career counselor in the Counseling Center (Room 200, McCannel Hall, 701-777-2127).
Career Exploration Class
A one-credit course is offered each semester through Career Services. The course offers students a chance to go through the step-by-step career exploration and decision making process. (See the Schedule of Courses, Counseling Department, COUN 101, to register.)
