Apartment Move In
We're glad you've decided to join the University of North Dakota apartment community! Below you will find information to facilitate your move. If you need additional information, please contact us at 701-777-4208.
You will check-in to your apartment at the UND Apartment Community Center (ACC), 525 Stanford Road, Grand Forks, ND 58202. The ACC is located on the opposite side of the Housing Office building. Please use the south entrance and parking lot. Check-in hours are Monday-Friday from 9:15 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Saturday & Sunday from 10:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, please contact the UND Housing Office (777-4208) to reschedule. The leaseholder must be present for this appointment.
You will not be expected to pay rent when you sign your lease at the check-in appointment. Your rent will be pro-rated for the month in which you sign your lease. Rent is due on the first of the month and paying your rent and other apartment charges online is easy and convenient.
Rent and electricity is billed monthly to the leaseholder's account. To pay your rent please log-in to your Campus Connection. Find instructions on how to pay rent online. For additional information regarding your account please visit Student Account Services.
Apartment Policy Book
As per your lease, it will be your responsibility to be aware of the apartment policies. View our Apartment Policy Book.
Renter's Insurance Information
We advise all residents to purchase renter’s insurance. The University of North Dakota is not responsible for damage to residents’ personal property, and UND’s insurance does not cover the personal property and belongings of residents.
Renter’s insurance provides you with coverage for loss, damage, or destruction of your property. It also provides coverage for additional living expenses you may incur if the apartment becomes uninhabitable. Such insurance can also protect you from any liability claims resulting from you own activities. For example, if your negligence causes a fire, you may be held responsible for the damage of the property of others, including the University of North Dakota’s property. Similarly, if a guest were to have an accident in your apartment, you could be personally responsible for the guest’s injuries. Please consult with an insurance agent to review your personal needs.
Your mailing address should utilize the 58203 zip code.
If UND supplied, service will be on when you check-in. There will be no hook-up fees and no extra arrangements necessary for service. Electrical charges will be billed to your UND account. Hamline Square residents will receive electrical service instructions at the check-in appointment and will be billed directly by Xcel Energy.
