Exceptional UND
Housing and Dining participated in the inaugural Exceptional UND Showcase held on April 30, 2012. This was the first opportunity for the campus and local community to engage with a variety of Exceptional UND initiatives, all in one location. Students, faculty and staff leading the initiatives participated in a unique session of poster presentations, asking participants for input on their work.

Housing Initiatives for Enriching the Student Experience
Living on Campus Means Greater Academic Success
Over 90% of first-year students live in the residence halls and there is a correlation between living on campus and academic success. Students who live in the residence halls have higher GPAs from freshman through senior years. Housing staff members care about individual student success and are active campus partners who provide access to resources and study environments.
Housing's goal is to offer resources to make residents more academically successful.
Tutoring and Study Halls
Housing is in the second year of offering Tutoring sessions and Study Halls in the residence hall community. Courses were chosen based on the number of residents taking introductory courses.
