Roommate Requests

Roommate Requests for Returning to Same Room:

If you would like to "pull-in" a different roommate to your same room for next year, please complete the roommate request in Campus Connection by selecting Self-Service/On-Campus Housing/MyHousing.

**Returning residents may request a new, incoming student for a roommate. The new, incoming student MUST have applied for housing by Feb., 13, 2013.

Step-by-step instructions:

1. Go to www.und.edu
2. Click on A-Z
3. Click on C
4. Click on Campus Connection
5. Log in with your User ID and password.
6. Click on: Self-Service > On-Campus Housing > Select UND > click "submit" – If a security message appears on the screen –click no – click on MyHousing. On the left  – click on Room Selection – Roommate Request. Type in Roommate information (first name, last name, etc.)
7. Click on "Request Student as Roommate"Additional information will be on next screen – roommate matches or doesn't match, etc.
8. New roommates can be requested only if your current roommate does not return to the room.  Roommate requests must be mutual and both residents must complete the roommate request in Campus Connection.

Roommate Request for New Room:

If you want to move to a new room with a new roommate, log-on to Campus Connection and select Self-Service/On-Campus Housing/MyHousing. See step-by-step instructions above. Both you and your requested roommate must complete this step in order to be "matched". You are not required to select a roommate.

University Place residents:

Returning to University Place SAME unit:
Current University Place residents will have the first chance to return to your same unit. If one or all of your roommates are not returning, you can bring in other roommates from University Place, the residence halls, or an eligible transfer student to your unit.

Here is what you need to:

1. Complete Stage 1 (Feb. 15-21) which is to E-sign the University Place 2013-14 contract and pay the $250 first installment.
2. Make sure ALL roommates wanting to live with you also complete Stage 1 (Feb. 15-21).
3. All students wanting to live in this unit together must go into Campus Connection and select Self-Service/On-Campus Housing/MYHOUSING and select each other as roommates during Stage 2 (Feb. 25-26).
4. The returning student will select the same unit during Stage 3 (Feb. 27-28).
5. As long as all roommates selected each other as outlined above, the Housing Office staff will work with the returning resident to make sure roommates are "pulled-in" properly.

Any student wanting to be "pulled-in" as a  roommate either in the residence halls or University Place, will need to complete Stage 1.
