When will the 2012-13 Room and Board Contract be available for my incoming student?
The contract is live in Campus Connection. Your student can log-in to E-sign the contract and pay the $250 first installment payment. E-sign the contract before May 1, in order to hold your student's priority and receive a room assignment in the first round. If you sign the contract and pay after May 1, room assignments will be made throughout the summer.

When do the residence halls open for fall semester?
Halls open at 8:00 am on Saturday, August 18, 2012. Go directly to the hall where you will be living to check in. For parents who have moved-in before, yes, we used to open on Friday. This is the first year of Saturday move-in day.
What does my student need to check in?
Your student should bring a photo ID, either a drivers license or his/her UND ID to check in. We meet with students 1-1 during check-in. So, there may be a small wait when you arrive.
Do you have returning students help with move-in?
Yes, we have the Hall Orientation Team (H.O.T) that will help you unload your car and bring your student's belongings to his/her room. We recommend that you drive up to the hall, use the drop-off location near the door to unload your student's belongings, then go park your car. Your student can immediately go to the check-in desk in the hall lobby to meet with an RA and get his/her room keys.
What activities take place opening weekend?
The Welcome Weekend schedule will be posted here for meals and events as soon as it's finalized.
How can I stay up-to-date on what's going on in the halls?
Sign up for the residence hall E-Bulletin. It's an email sent twice a month during the academic year.
Are the dining centers open on holidays?
For fall semester, meals are served on Labor Day and Veterans Day holidays. No meals are served on Thanksgiving Day, however meals are served Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend. Not all dining centers are open for holidays, so your student should check the Residence Hall Calendar Planner or the Dining Services web site for dining center hours and the location that is open. New for 2012, meals will be served on Easter Sunday.
How do I mail a package or postal letter to my student?
Use this address example:

My student is sick, how can they get a meal?
Sick trays are available for students in the residence halls. If you student does not feel well enough to go to a dining center, they may ask their RA for a sick tray request form. A roommate or friend may bring a tray to your student's room.
My student needs computer support.
